iMpractical

This may shock you, but I don't want an iPhone. Sure, I think it's shiny and pretty and I definitely want to play with someone else's for a while, but I don't want my own for 4 reasons.

1) I love my iPod with its 80 GB capacity and I'm not ready to give it up.

2) I use both my iPod and my cell phone so much that I'd be terrified of losing both to a dead battery.

3) I use a lot of third-party software on my Palm, and equivalent software doesn't exist for the iPhone (yet).

4) AT&T's coverage is terrible in NYC, so even if I didn't have a contract with Verizon that includes my soul and my first born, I wouldn't switch.

Oh, and 5) who has that kind of cash?

I want one even less after reading this article about how the potential of the admittedly amazing technology is no where near being reached.

So I'm quite happy to wait for it to all be better. Looks like I might be waiting quite a while! Good thing the new Treos look so sexy!
